What it does

Most resumes are filtered by an ATS (applicant tracking system) before a human sees them. This checks your resume against a job description and flags the keywords and formatting that decide whether you make the cut.

How it works

Where your resume goes

Your resume and the job description go to our server at gate402.app, where we read the text out of them. The first 12,000 characters of the resume and the first 8,000 of the job description then go to OpenRouter, an outside AI service, which runs the model (Llama 3.1 8B) at one of the companies that host it. How long they keep it is up to their policies, not ours. A resume carries your name, phone number and work history, so if you wouldn’t paste it into an AI chat, don’t use this tool.
