Rebel Studios Software is an independent software studio founded by Patrick Galyen. We build full-stack web and SaaS products, WordPress and WooCommerce plugins, browser and editor extensions, mobile apps, and onchain apps on Base and Farcaster, with a focus on shipping real products, not slide decks.

We are a small studio, which means the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. There is no account manager relaying requirements to an offshore team you never meet. That keeps communication direct and the work honest: we would rather show you something running than describe something on a slide.
We start by understanding the actual problem: who it is for, what “done” looks like, and what the real constraints are. Then we agree on a concrete plan and price before writing code.
You see working software early and often, not a big reveal at the end. Shipping a rough version that works beats polishing something that never launches. We have written about why.
We handle the unglamorous last mile: store submission, deployment, monitoring, and the fixes that follow. Every product in our portfolio is one we took all the way to real users.

Patrick is a software engineer with about ten years of experience building reliable, performance-critical systems. At Booz Allen Hamilton he was the primary developer of a multithreaded C++ state machine coordinating UDP messaging across networks, built CI/CD pipelines deploying to AWS, and improved application performance by 33% through benchmarking and refactoring. Before that he built C# and C++ applications at Vectrus and C++11 systems on Red Hat Linux at AECOM, and afterwards hardened build infrastructure and Jenkins pipelines as a DevSecOps engineer at Precise Systems.
Since 2025 he has run Rebel Studios full time and built everything in this portfolio end to end: TradeGuard, a construction-compliance SaaS with Stripe billing, QuickBooks integration and automated certificate-of-insurance extraction; gate402, a pay-per-call API gateway for AI agents with published npm and PyPI packages; the WooCommerce plugins and browser extensions sold here; Farcaster mini apps on Base; and open-source security research including Vigilo.
He works across Python, C++, C#, TypeScript and Solidity (Next.js, Prisma, Stripe, Foundry, Docker, AWS and CI/CD), holds a B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Data Science, and is an ICAgile Certified Professional. He is available for contract and consulting work.
