Free editors like GIMP or Photopea can do this with the select-and-mask tools, and it works well if you’re comfortable with manual masking. This does it automatically in seconds when you don’t want to fiddle with edges by hand.

The free options are either fiddly or sketchy: half of them want you to upload a private file to a server you’ve never heard of, behind a wall of ads. We don’t.
