What it does

iPhones save photos as HEIC to keep files small, but plenty of websites, forms, and older apps still reject the format outright. This converts a HEIC or HEIF image to a clean, universally accepted JPG in one step.

On a Mac you can open the HEIC in Preview and choose File → Export → JPEG; on iPhone you can change Settings → Camera → Formats to “Most Compatible.” If you just need one file converted right now without changing settings or installing anything, that’s what this is for.
