Oops All Knights: Privacy Policy

The short version

Oops All Knights has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email, or any other personal detail, and we cannot identify you.

What the app stores on your device

The first time you open the app it generates a random player id (a string of characters with no connection to you or your device's identity) and saves it in the app's own storage. It exists so two phones can find each other during an online game. Deleting the app deletes it.

What leaves your device

• Online games only. When you queue for an opponent or create a room, the random player id and the board position are sent to Google Firebase Realtime Database so the other phone can see your moves. Pass-and-play games stay entirely on your device.
• Advertising. The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier to select and measure ads. On iOS this only happens if you allow tracking when the system asks. You can reset or limit that identifier in your device settings at any time.

What we do not do

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or files. We do not sell data. We do not build advertising profiles ourselves. There is no analytics SDK in the app beyond what AdMob requires to serve and measure ads.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and contains no chat, no user-generated content, and no purchases. It does show ads. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your choices

Deleting the app removes the player id and any local game state. Abandoned online rooms are cleaned up automatically. To opt out of personalised ads, use your device's advertising settings, or decline the tracking prompt on iOS.
